Hands-on High Desert Silviculture @ Cedar Springs Farm  (OFFSITE) ***

3-hour class on the farm 

Learn how to cultivate trees and shrubs in the high desert for medicine, food, and regenating the land. Jake will be discussing how we can feed our family and friends at scale in the high desert while restoring the land in a way that's harmonious with plants, livestock, and wildlife in unique climates. See a working regenerative farm, and learn:

  • How to work with regionally appropriate trees and perennial crops
  • Hands-on tree propagation techniques, and wetland restoration methods
  • Understand planting patterns for the high desert
  • Cultivating medicinal plants
  • How to integrate animals as part of regenerating the landscape  
  • Riparian zone restoration, water management, and greening the desert.  
 
PLEASE NOTE - this offsite class will be held at Cedar Springs Farm, about 30 minutes from the festival. Please plan on leaving around 1:30 pm to make it to the start of the class.
