Just west of the Rocky Mountains, this area provides us with access to hugely diverse plant communities, in an epically beautiful landscape.
What is Plant Camp IRL?
Taught by Briana Wiles, Kat Mackinnon, and guest instructors, Plant Camp is a learning community bringing together plant lovers, wild food enthusiasts and herbalists!
Where Do We Stay?
A remote, private hot spring!
We will be car camping, so participants can set up a tent or sleep in their vehicle.
WHAT WILL I LEARN IN COLORADO?
Come join us at a remote private hot spring, when the aspens are golden and the nights are cool.
This course will immerse you in the complexities of medicinal formulation, and connection to the medicinal trees, shrubs, and herbs of the Western Colorado high desert. Get comfortable with identifying, harvesting, tending to, and making medicine from the native mountain species.
This class is ideal for those who have a baseline in herbalism and have begun their work with plant identification and herbals and want to go deeper with hands-on skills, as well as those just beginning their journey into herbal medicine.

Course Logistics
- The weekend begins Thursday evening with campsite set up, introductions, and hot springing, and ends Monday morning with campsite breakdown and goodbyes.
- This program is intensive with breaks throughout the day. Expect to begin class early, take a longer lunch break in the afternoon, then continue with class into the evening.
- There will be some walking and slightly strenuous activity - all participants are welcome to bring a small chair or walking stick.
- Be prepared for hot days and cold nights
- Please come self-sufficient for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day.
- Camping is remote and with limited services. Resupply will be limited for the duration of the intensive. Bring enough food and water for the trip (participants need to supply their own food and water.
- We will be car camping, so participants have the option to set up a tent or sleep in their vehicle.
Cancellation Policy and Fees
- If a participant requests to cancel their enrollment in the course more than 14 days prior to the start date, a full refund will be issued.
- If a participant requests to cancel their enrollment in the course between 7 to 14 days prior to the start date, a 50% refund will be issued.
- If a participant requests to cancel their enrollment in the course less than 7 days prior to the start date, no refund will be issued.
- In the event that the course is cancelled by the organizers, participants will be entitled to a full refund.
- Please note that all cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to the designated contact person. Refunds will be processed within 2 business days of receiving the cancellation request.
- Refunds will be issued to the payment form used to make the original purchase of the course.
